Sample Approval Checklist

How to avoid moving from promising samples to disappointing production.

  1. Photograph and document the approved sample clearly.
  2. Record measurements, weight, finish and acceptable tolerances.
  3. Confirm whether production materials match sample materials.
  4. Agree who pays for revisions and additional sample rounds.
  5. Set inspection criteria before bulk production starts.
  6. Keep a retained sample for comparison where practical.
